Koan works with leadership teams to strengthen how organisations actually function under pressure and succeed in an never-static environment.

Our focus is on three systems: how leaders maintain clarity and trust, how organisations understand and respond to a changing environment, and how decisions translate into coordinated action. When these systems are weak, performance degrades. When they are strong, organisations move with focus, alignment, and pace.

Our work combines structured diagnostics, targeted advisory, and practical engagement with leadership teams. The aim is simple: clearer thinking, better decisions, and execution that holds together at scale.

Koān was established by Derek O’Halloran. Derek’s experience includes senior executive roles at the World Economic Forum, Board membership, advising CEOs and boards, conflict management and facilitating executive teams and forums.
